Tinted mobile car window tinting in New Town provides an all in one car tinting service. Tinting car windows by yourself, is often a disaster waiting to happen, selecting the best brand, shade, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your car to have the tint applied at a local garage can often be a hassle too, having to take the time off work, or having no car for many hours waiting for it to be finished, is often not possible.
At Tinted we’re 100% mobile, and we cover all of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including New Town and nearby towns. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you time or valuable holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.
We can also provide both tinted & vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.
Our process
- You make a booking for a time slot and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to clear away any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We may need to remove door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- When the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to completely dry, this preserves the edge of the tint.
- We are then able to recieve payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?
Choosing the best tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for style and looks?
- Is it to look after children or animals from heat or UV rays?
- Is it cover up valuables from sight?
Based on your answers to the questions our qualified professionals are able to help you to choose the right shade. Below are the three main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and gives complete privacy.
Which car windows are we able to tint?
We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. Therefore a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of cars produced today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.
If you choose to get your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, a factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you can nullify your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable business that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we decided to not tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it fades, bubbles, and normally goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This is not a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The best tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio reception and gives the best UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we think is best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
