Tinting car windows by yourself, can often be a real pain, selecting the best brand, shade, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be very difficult! Taking your car to have the tint applied locally can be a real burden as well, needing to take time off work, or losing your vehicle for several hours while you wait for it to be completed, is often very inconvenient.

So we will come to your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.
We are able to offer both tinted & sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.
How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed crew will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for at least a week to allow them to completely dry, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is right for your vehicle?
Choosing the best tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for the look & style of your car?
- Is it to shield children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Do you want keep valuables out of sight?
Using your answers to these questions our trained specialists can help you to select the correct shade. Below are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays and does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most popular, it protects from UV rays, heat and gives total privacy.
Which car windows can we tint?
We’re asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of cars produced today come with tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some people it doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.
If you go ahead and get your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, a factor to consider is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not all window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the cheapest product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This is not a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The greatest tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio signal and provides the most temperature/UV protection.
All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint are the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
