Our process
- You book a time slot and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then wash the car windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can dry fully, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We’re then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
What window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?
Selecting the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
- Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Is it keep valuables out of view?
From your answers to these questions our trained specialists are able to help you to pick the correct shade. Here are the three main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers protection from UV rays, heat and does add some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it protects from UV rays, heat and offers total privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re asked this question many times. To start with, let’s describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Most of cars produced today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you go ahead and have your front windows tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the UK road network unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you may nullify your insurance.
It’s also illegal to install tint to a cars front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable business that all customers rely on and because of this we choose not to break the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you install?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the least expensive product available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and normally goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The greatest tint available, provided as our premium service. It has great colour/longevity, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio reception and gives the most UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
