How it works
- You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We may need to remove door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can completely dry, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows can we tint?
We are often asked about this. Firstly, let’s explain how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of cars the come from the factory today have tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you choose to get your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to think about is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, you may nullify your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable business that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we will not tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t first class, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint available, provided as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio and provides the best UV/temperature protection.
