What we do
- You make a booking for a time slot and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- When the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to completely dry, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to recieve payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
What window tint shade is the right choice for your car?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows can we tint?
We are regularly asked this question. To start with, let’s describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Most of cars made today come with tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.
If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, a factor to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you can nullify your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with large penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the cheapest tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The finest tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, does not affect radio signal and provides the best UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
