Tinted mobile car window tinting in Southam provides an all in one car tinting solution. Tinting car windows by yourself, can be a disaster waiting to happen, choosing the right brand, shade, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be problematic! Driving your car to have the tint applied at a local garage can often be a hassle as well, needing to take the time off work, or losing your car for several hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often very inconvenient.
At Tinted we’re completely mobile, and we cover all of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Southam and nearby towns. So we will come to your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.
We can also provide both tinted and sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof vinyl wraps, and interior wraps.
How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
- We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to detach the door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we request you do not use the windows for around a week so that they can completely dry, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is right for you?
Selecting the correct tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Is the tint to make you car look great?
- Is it to look after children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Do you want keep valuables out of view?
From your responses to those questions our trained professionals are able to help you to pick the correct shade. Here are the three main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays & also adds some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it protects from UV rays, heat and gives total privacy.
Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re asked this question many times. To start with, let us explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of cars made today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you choose to get your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network until you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something to consider is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the least expensive product on the market, it fades, bubbles, and normally goes a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This is not a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The most superior tint on the market, provided as our premium service. It has the best colour/longevity, isn’t affected by heater lines, does not affect radio and gives the best UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint are the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
