Tinted mobile car window tinting in Wilmcote offers an all in one car window tinting solution. Tinting your car windows on your own, is often a real pain, choosing the right brand, shade, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be very difficult! Driving your vehicle to be tinted at a local garage can be a hassle as well, needing to take the time off work, or having no vehicle for many hours waiting for it to be finished, is often very inconvenient.

At Tinted we are 100% mobile, and can cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Wilmcote and surrounding areas. So we will come to your home or place of work, saving you time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.

We are able to provide both tinted and vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, roof and bonnet vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

Our process

  • You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed crew will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
  • We then clean the car windows with 100% pure water to clear away any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
  • We might need to detach the door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can completely dry, this protects all the edges of the tint.
  • We’re then able to accept payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.

What window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?

Choosing the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Is it to conceal valuables out of view?

From your answers to these questions our trained specialists can help you to choose the right shade. Here are the 3 main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays and also adds a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most widely selected, it provides a guard from UV rays, heat and offers absolute privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We are often asked about this. Firstly, let’s describe the way tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.

The legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of vehicles made today come with tinted glass at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

If you choose to get your front windows tinted the potential penalty will be (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road unless you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, a factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you can invalidate your insurance.

It is also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to disobey the law. So we choose not to tint any front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not a premium tint, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Top industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The greatest tint available, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, does not affect radio reception and gives the best temperature/UV protection.

All that being said, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we think is best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
