- You book a time slot and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed crew will arrive, only requiring access to power.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We may need to remove door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around a week so that they can completely dry, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
- We can then recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is right for you?
Selecting the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Is the tint to make you car look great?
- Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Do you want cover up valuables out of sight?
From your responses to these questions our fully trained specialists can help you to pick the correct shade. Below are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers a safeguard from UV rays, heat & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it provides a guard from UV rays, heat and gives complete privacy.
Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through. Most of cars the come from the factory today come with tinted windows at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, a factor to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you may invalidate your insurance.
It’s also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to disobey the law. So we choose not to tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you use?
Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the least expensive product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not first class, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The greatest tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides the best colour/longevity, is not affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio and gives the best temperature/UV protection.
