Tinted mobile car window tinting in Peterchurch provides a complete car window tinting solution. Tinting your car windows on your own, can often be a disaster waiting to happen, choosing the right brand, shade, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be a real pain! Driving your car to have the tint applied locally can be a real burden too, needing to take the time off work, or having no vehicle for many hours while you wait for it to be completed, is often a big inconvenience.

At Tinted we are completely mobile, and can cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Peterchurch and nearby towns. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for every tinting job we do.

We can also provide both tinted & vinyl sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior wraps.

Our process

  • You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
  • Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to power.
  • We then clean the car windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
  • We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
  • After the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can completely dry, this protects the edge of the tint.
  • We are then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

What window tint shade is right for your vehicle?

Selecting the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be to make you car look great?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
  3. Do you want to conceal valuables from sight?

Based on your answers to these questions our qualified specialists are able to help you to pick the correct shade. These are the three main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays and also adds some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most popular, it provides a guard from UV rays, heat and gives total privacy.

Which car windows are we able to tint?

We’re asked this question many times. Firstly, let us describe the way tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.

The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of cars the come from the factory today have tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some people it doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.

If you choose to have your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the UK road network until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.

Also, something to consider is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.

It’s also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable business that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This tends to be the least expensive product available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This is not a premium tint, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The best tint available, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, does not affect radio signal and gives the best temperature/UV protection.

All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint are the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
