Tinting car windows on your own, can be a real hassle, selecting the right shade, brand, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be very difficult! So we will come to your workplace or home, saving you time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for every tinting job we do.

How it works
- You make a booking for a time slot and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to power.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris before we tint them.
- We may need to detach the door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- When the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can completely dry, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We can then recieve payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
What window tint shade is right for your vehicle?
Choosing the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be for style and looks?
- Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Is it to conceal valuables from sight?
Based on your responses to the questions our trained specialists can help you to choose the correct shade. These are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays & does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and gives absolute privacy.
Which car windows can we tint?
We’re asked this question many times. Firstly, let us explain how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of vehicles the come from the factory today come with tinted windows at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.
If you choose to have your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the UK road network unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, a factor to think about is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with large penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all customers rely on and because of this we choose not to disobey the law. So we will not tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you use?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint available, provided as our premium service. It provides great colour/longevity, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio and gives the most UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
