Tinted mobile car window tinting in Woodcross provides an all in one car window tinting service. Tinting car windows by yourself, can be a real hassle, selecting the right brand, shade, and even just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be very difficult! Taking your car to be tinted at a local garage can often be a real burden as well, having to take time off work, or be without your vehicle for several hours waiting for it to be finished, is often very inconvenient.
At Tinted we’re 100% mobile, and we cover all of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Woodcross and local areas. So we can visit your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.
We are able to offer both tinted and sun strips, car light tints, roof and bonnet vinyl wraps, and interior wraps.
How it works
- You book a time slot and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to power.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you do not use the windows for at least a week so that they can dry fully, this protects all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
What window tint shade is right for your car?
Choosing the best tint shade can be tricky. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be for style and looks?
- Is it to shield children or animals from heat or UV rays?
- Do you want to conceal valuables out of sight?
Using your answers to those questions our qualified specialists can help you to pick the right shade. Here are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays & does add some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it can safeguard from UV rays, heat and offers total privacy.
Which car windows can we tint?
We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of cars the come from the factory today have tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you choose to have your front windows tinted the potential penalty will be (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, a factor to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to invalidate your insurance.
It’s also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and because of this we choose not to break the law. So we will not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you install?
Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The most superior tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, will not affect radio reception and provides the most UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in the UK, meaning when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
